The following video shows the correct way to take care of and skin a deer for a shoulder mount.
Watch how to remove a turkey tail so you can have it mounted with a plaque. If you want a full mount, it would be best to put it in two garbage bags, ice it down and get it to us asap. If you can't get it to us that day, double bag it and tie it getting out as much of the air as possible and bring it by as soon as possible.
The flat incision is used for rug mounts and for a variety of poses. Make these slits (cutting the feet free from the carcass) and pull the skin off the carcass. The head is detached as with the shoulder mount. Note: If you can't bring your hide immediately us, freeze it as soon as possible. We provide a 24/7 open freezer though to make getting it to us easier.

Measurements needed before skinning for mounts.
Before skinning animals out that you want to get mounted, it is best to take some basic measurements of the animal. This helps us create a even more lifelike mount better representing your trophy of a lifetime.
